The candidates' exam results are taken into consideration for creating the NEST 2025 merit list. The results and the NEST merit list 2025 will be released by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS. Those who are shortlisted in the merit list are required to finish the document verification process to be qualified to participate in the next round of NEST 2025 counselling.
NEST Merit List Preparation
A merit list will be created based on several criteria. Preparing the NEST final merit list 2025 will benefit from the final ranking that is determined by the candidates' exam results.
The NEST merit list pdf and rank list are prepared using both the candidates' scores and categories.
If a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility requirements in counselling by completing the document verification process, their name on the merit list does not guarantee admission.
Students in the general section and all four subjects should have a Section-Wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS) to be admitted to NISER Bhubaneswar.
Applicants need to have a general section score in the general section equal to or higher than SMAS to be admitted to UM-DAE CEBS.
The candidate's scores for each section have to equal or exceed the SAMS scores for that sections.
The authority will rank the participants in the admission exam based on their best three-section score.
For NEST score 2025, it's also critical to understand the meaning of Minimum Acceptable Percentile, or MAP. It is the minimal percentile that applicants need to meet in order to be included on the NEST merit list 2025.
NEST Question/Sample Papers
Candidates can download NEST Question/Sample Papers from here.
Applicants are required to be aware of the tie-breaking regulations and procedures if they receive the same exam scores as other candidates. Candidates with higher scores in the general section will be given preference by the institute in this scenario. Candidates with higher ranks will be those who performed better in the general part.
However, the candidates' Class 12th grades will be taken into account for ranking if there is still a tie. Finally, but just as importantly, the NEST merit list will give favour to younger candidates.
NEST Scoring System 2025
The processes listed below can be used by candidates to calculate their NEST scores 2025.
The NEST exam will be held for a total of 200 marks.
The NEST exam is conducted in 4 sections.
Candidates are awarded 2.5 marks for every correct answer.

Calculation of Percentile Score for NEST 2025
The NEST 2025 percentile can be determined using a certain procedure.
The NEST exam will be offered in two sessions, such as an evening and morning shift, on the same day.
For each session, the percentile scores of the students are determined independently based on their performance on the NEST entrance exam.
Every NEST exam session will have a maximum score of 100th percentile.
The exam's final merit list is determined by the minimum score required for each component.
NEST 2025 Merit List Parameters Selection Criteria
SMAS
The total score of a candidate = Sum of his score in General section + scores obtained in 'best three' subjects

No, qualifying NEST exam won't directly lead you to pursue MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). NEST serves a different purpose.
The National Entrance Screening Test is for admission to five-year integrated M.Sc. programs at specific universities like National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS). It focuses on Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology).
To pursue MBBS, you need to qualify for a separate medical entrance exam like the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). NEET is the primary gateway for admission to undergraduate medical programs in India.
Correct Answer: The drongo looks exactly like a crow.
Solution : The first option is the correct choice.
The statement "the drongo looks exactly like a crow" is not true, according to the passage.
The passage describes the Black Drongo as a wholly black bird with a distinctive forked tail, measuring 28 cm in length. While it mentions that the Black Drongo is sometimes known as the King Crow, this is likely due to its aggressive behaviour towards larger birds, such as crows, and not because it looks exactly like a crow.
Correct Answer: They proved to be a threat to the local birds.
Solution : The third option is the correct choice.
The impact of introducing the Black Drongo species to some Pacific islands was that they thrived and became abundant to the point of threatening and causing the extinction of native and endemic bird species there.
The passage states that the Black Drongo has been introduced to these islands, and as a result of its successful establishment and proliferation, it poses a threat to the local bird species.
